Va Beach Vacations are BEACH
PLUS!

Virginia Beach Vacations are BEACH PLUS! with
Busch Gardens and Williamsport plus historic Jamestown all
within an hours drive. Throw in Norfolk and fantastic Navy Yard
tours and NASA at Langley and you have area vacation area.
When you plan your vacation at Virginia Beach or to vacation
in the Virgina Beach area, you must truly plan your week or two
because there is such a wide variety of choices of things to
do.
Our personal best plan for vacationing in this area is first
to look into timeshare rentals in Williamsburg and book one.
Once you have vacationed in a timeshare you'll be spoiled and
not want to go back to just a hotel. Both Fairfield and
Sunterra have abundant accomodations and you can almost always
find a rental at Williamsburg except for the Jul 4th weekend
and Christmas. For those you must reserve very early.
A great Virginia Beach area vacation could have you staying
at a cabin at Virginia Beach, but you also have choices of high
rise condos at Virginia Beach right on the shore line.
We personally like a nice mix of
activities and so our favorite Virginia Beach area accomodation
is to stay at a Williamsburg timeshare and make this our base.
We may just "chill" there the first day, then the next day tour
Historic Williamsburg. Be sure and book a reservation for an
evening meal in a colonial restaurant and do it early in the
day. The next day may be spent on the golf course with the kids
around the pool. Antiquing in Williamsburg could fill the
afternoon.
Now on day three, it's time for the beach, and it's into the
car for about an hour's drive. Be sure and check out a beach
with a bath house and place to shower and change, and be sure
and bring the suntan lotion. Don't forget your Va Beach Beach
Toys and souveniers!
After a day at the beach you are relaxed, and you might
spend your next day at the Busch Gardens theme park! This is a
real gem and be sure and plan ahead and get your Busch Gardens
Discount tickets at available locations such as the concierge
desk at your timeshare rental.
After Busch Gardens, you might be "beat" so it's time for a
slow day. One of the most enjoyable days we've had is touring
old plantations. Plantation tours come in a variety of sizes
and can range from an independent tour where you drive
yourself to the plantation and take as much time as you'd like,
to taking a structured guided tour. Again, ask you concierge
for information or visit the Williamsburg Visitor Center where
you might also pick up discount admission cupons. If you
are "on your own" and willing to drive a little, then head on
up to Richmond and beyond and take in Monticello. It's
worth it.. and could be a full day trip.
After that day, you're maybe ready for just another day of
relaxation at the pool, but your next active day will be to
visit and study Jamestown. While in that part of town and
afterwords, take the inexpensive ferry over to one of the
restaurants on the other side.

Vacation isn't over, because you have not
been to Norfolk yet! Visit a battleship; take a harbor tour of
the Norfolk Harbor, preferably on one of the true sailing
ships. Visit the McArthur memorial and if you are a home
schooler you have a lot to log in for education!
The week is nearly over and we haven't even mentioned
shopping in Williamsburg yet! So many things to see and buy
including gourmet cookbooks and Americana history items.
You'll say this WAS one of the best Eastcoast vacations
you've ever had!
