What is that special place that you refer to as home? Come on, we all have that one special place. You know the one where you attended high school and basically grew up with close friends and family. I have to say for me that place is Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Yep, that's home for me. After spending 15 years of my life there, I can honestly tell you that it's an amazing place. Truly, all biases aside; I'm pretty positive you would like North Carolina. Well, I guess if you don't like the warm bright sun, beautiful green grass and trees, and beaches that go on forever, then you may not like it. However, if that sounds all too tempting, then what you need is a North Carolina beach house. If you've yet to experience the east coast, then man are you missing out.

I would love to have a North Carolina beach house. I've personally been to the Carolina beaches a number of times and I have to say they're the best I've seen in the good old US of A. The sand is soft and warm. The sun washes over the water, making it just tepid enough to take a dip in. Oh, and the ocean gets deeper as you wade in. None of that west coast drop-off stuff you get up in Oregon. How can you beat that serene atmosphere? Now, if you actually owned or even rented a North Carolina beach house each year, you could enjoy it all.

Contrary to what you may have heard, you can find a decent North Carolina beach house for a reasonable price. It's easy to hop on the old World-Wide-Web and see what they go for. Maybe you want to rent yours ahead of time to ensure getting it for the next summer. I'm sure you don't want to grapple with the hassles of a beach-front hotel room. Let's face it; how long can you actually stay comfortable in a hotel room anyway? You need the comforts of a real home. Ditch that outrageous hotel bill and crampt living space for a fine North Carolina beach house. It's the summer home away from home.

If it's your first time renting a beach house, you might ask yourself if a swimming pool is important to you. Some have them, some don't.  If you are on the beach, does the house come with beach accessories, ranging anywhere from an included jet ski?  If not right on the beach, how far is the walk? Or is there paid parking included? Look at the two beach houses above.. one has a nice veranda and screened porch, the other doesn't. Being able to sit out and hear the surf and breeze is an important part of the experience. And you may want to grill out. Is there a grill included? Is grilling allowed?  Other questions are obvious as to how many beds and what sizes. If you are used to sleeping in a King at home, the double or even queen you might be getting could really cramp you. And is linnen provided or do you bring your own? How about a pillow? You may not be getting all the amenities you are used to having in a time share or hotel, so be sure and ask.
